I had always photographed this cypress area when the water was high and flowing, and liked the images that it produced. Later on, in the fall, when the water was down, I returned to see if there was anything worthy of photographing. It was a whole new world, smooth water, better reflections, and displaying all the cypress knees that had been covered when the water was deep. I won first place in the photography division of the Annual Inlands of the Arts contest with this photo.
